What This Tool Does

The FYERS brokerage calculator estimates the exact cost of a trade executed through FYERS — brokerage plus all applicable regulatory charges — across intraday, futures, and options segments.

You can also use this Fraction Calculator.

How It’s Calculated

FYERS’ current brokerage structure:

  • Intraday (equity, F&O, commodity): ₹20 or 0.03% of trade value per executed order, whichever is lower
  • Futures: ₹20 or 0.03% per executed order, whichever is lower
  • Options: flat ₹20 per executed order, regardless of lot size or premium
  • Equity delivery: widely advertised as free (₹0), though confirm the current rate directly with FYERS before trading, since some recent reports suggest a separate delivery charge may now apply

On top of brokerage, regulatory charges apply: Securities Transaction Tax (STT), exchange transaction charges, GST (18% on brokerage and exchange charges), SEBI turnover fees, and stamp duty.

Worked example: 150 shares bought intraday at ₹600, sold the same day at ₹610.

  • Buy turnover: 150 × 600 = ₹90,000 → brokerage: lower of (90,000 × 0.03% = ₹27) and ₹20 → ₹20
  • Sell turnover: 150 × 610 = ₹91,500 → brokerage: lower of (91,500 × 0.03% = ₹27.45) and ₹20 → ₹20
  • Total brokerage (both legs): ₹40
  • STT (intraday, sell-side only, 0.025%): 91,500 × 0.025% ≈ ₹22.88

Exchange transaction charges, GST, SEBI charges, and stamp duty add further smaller amounts on top of these two components.

Edge Cases and Special Rules

  • Charged per executed order, not per share: Partial fills of a single order may be charged per execution, depending on how the fills occur.
  • Options don’t scale with lot size: Whether you trade 1 lot or 10 lots, options brokerage stays a flat ₹20 per executed order — only the premium value and resulting STT change.
  • Delivery brokerage needs direct confirmation: Given some inconsistency in reported rates, check FYERS’ own current charges page before assuming delivery trades are free.
  • Zero AMC and account opening fees: FYERS generally doesn’t charge demat account maintenance or account opening fees, though DP (depository participant) charges may still apply on delivery sells.

Broker-Specific Charges vs. Regulatory Charges

Brokerage is the one component that differs from broker to broker — FYERS, Zerodha, Dhan, and others each set their own rates and structures (other pages on this site cover each broker’s specific numbers separately). Everything else — STT, exchange transaction charges, GST, SEBI turnover fees, and stamp duty — is set by regulators and exchanges, and applies identically no matter which broker you trade through. When comparing brokers, the meaningful difference to look at is brokerage and any account-related fees — not the regulatory charges, which won’t change.

Who Uses This

  • Intraday and F&O traders estimating costs before placing a trade on FYERS
  • Options traders checking the flat per-order fee across different lot sizes
  • Investors comparing FYERS against other discount brokers
  • Anyone wanting to see total trade cost, not just the headline brokerage figure

Brokerage vs. Net Debit (Total Trade Cost)

These aren’t the same number, and conflating them understates your real cost. Brokerage is just one line item — the fee charged specifically for executing the order. Net debit (for a buy) or net credit (for a sell) is the full picture: trade value plus brokerage plus every regulatory charge combined. Even a trade with minimal brokerage still isn’t entirely free of cost, since STT, exchange charges, and stamp duty still apply on top.
