What This Tool Does
This GAG calculator finds the in-game Sheckle sell value of a crop in Grow a Garden (Roblox), based on its weight, growth type, active mutations, and friend boost — and can also work in reverse, estimating a crop’s weight from a known Sheckle value.

How It’s Calculated
The community-documented value formula:
Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × Growth × (1 + ΣMutations − N) × Friend
Where Growth is the growth-type multiplier (Default, Gold, or Rainbow — only one applies at a time), ΣMutations is the sum of active environmental mutation multipliers, N is the count of active mutations, and Friend is the friend-boost multiplier.
Worked example: A Watermelon (base value 3,000, base weight 7kg) weighing 10kg, with Gold growth (×20), one environmental mutation contributing a value of 2 to the mutation sum, and a 20% friend boost.
- Weight ratio squared: (10 ÷ 7)² ≈ 2.041
- Value: 3,000 × 2.041 × 20 × (1 + 2 − 1) × 1.20
- = 3,000 × 2.041 × 20 × 2 × 1.20
- ≈ 293,875 Sheckles
Edge Cases and Special Rules
- Only one growth mutation applies at a time: Default, Gold, and Rainbow are mutually exclusive — a crop can’t stack multiple growth types together.
- Environmental mutations do stack: Unlike growth type, multiple environmental mutations can combine on the same crop, each adding to the mutation sum in the formula.
- Friend boost has a cap: Each friend in the garden adds roughly +10%, up to a maximum of +50% total.
- Reverse mode estimates weight from a known value: If you know a crop’s Sheckle sell price (from the in-game magnifying glass) but not its exact weight, switching to Value → Weight mode estimates it without needing to weigh the crop directly.
- Values shift with game patches: Base values and mutation multipliers can change when the game updates — figures here reflect the formula as documented at time of writing, so check the live calculator for the current patch.
Grow a Garden vs. Grow a Garden 2 (GAG2)
These are genuinely separate games, despite the similar name. This crop-value formula applies to the original Grow a Garden. Grow a Garden 2 is a distinct game with its own plants (like Dragon’s Breath and Moon Bloom), its own Decay mechanic, a Fruit Stock system, and a Double or Nothing feature — none of which this formula accounts for. If you’re playing GAG2 specifically, you’ll need its own separate calculator.
